2008 EVENT 11 - 27TH JULY 2008
Presenting the Southern DownsBio ConceptsSculpture Symposium. Symposium director and Sculptor Paul Stumkat, representing Killarney Area Promotions Assn has scheduled this Symposium for July 2008. The event recruited 11 Participating Sculptors and commissioned a team of 5 Guest Sculptors to carve local Warwick Tanamerah Sandstone.
The 2008 event in conjunction with the popular Warwick Shire Jumpers and Jazz Art and Music Festival is expected to attract over 4000 extra visitors to the region during the 2 week, 3 weekends Sculptures Symposium. A variety of national and local jazz performers take to the streets and heritage hotels during the festival’s official weekend celebrations to jazz it up with Dixieland, Swing and Mainstream melodies of Jazz. The main street will be awash with colour as deciduous trees don bright cheerful hand-knitted jumpers.
